ABOUT US
OUR MISSION
Founded in 1994, HIV ARTS NETWORK, INC. is a US Federal 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on offering direct support services to individuals in the fine arts and performing arts communities.
These individuals continue to be devastated by the HIV/AIDS epidemic, as losses of colleagues and creative leaders mount. Through very innovative, client-centered services, HIV ARTS NETWORK, INC. meets a critical need within the dance, theather, music, playwright, and design communities in New York City and many other major arts centers nationwide.
HIV ARTS NETWORK, INC. addresses the inherent stress of working and/or living with HIV/AIDS by providing "no-cost" services in the workplace - backstages, theaters, galleries, dance studios, concert halls, graphic design offices. These "hands-on" interactive and supportive services are provided by mental health and social service professionals who render their services pro-bono. The distinct programs that HIV ARTS NETWORK, INC. has consistently and continually provided to its target population of artists and performers, as well as their extended support networks, are at the heart of how this not-for profit organization fights back against HIV/AIDS.
